MAYFAIR, LONDON
A prestigious £1 billion mixed-use regeneration project in the heart of Mayfair - occupying a 1.3-acre site, developed by Motcomb Estates and designed by leading architecture practice Allford Hall Monaghan Morris.

CURATORIAL APPROACH
Responding to One Carrington’s historic Mayfair setting, we developed a site-specific commission drawing on more than a millennium of the area’s social and architectural history. Carved into Diano Reale marble and pigmented resin and integrated into the development’s principal entrance, the artwork brings together a series of illustrated narratives that reveal layers of the site’s past.

Conceived as a permanent intervention within the architecture, the commission uses material, craftsmanship and storytelling to create a dialogue between past and present, embedding a sense of place and cultural memory into the fabric of the building.
