15 GOLDEN SQUARE, LONDON
Set within a prominent office building overlooking Golden Square, the newly refurbished interior provided the setting for a multidisciplinary collection shaped by place, atmosphere and the identity of the client.
Curatorial Approach
The curation responds to the building’s bright, airy interiors and palette of deep blue and chrome, bringing a refined but distinctive personality to each area. As the space moves between client-facing rooms and working environments, the collection shifts in tone, flowing from quiet elegance and material depth towards a more playful expression of travel, energy and shared experience.
Ewan David Eason’s Mappa Mundi London (White on Silver) anchors the reception. Its intricate, bird’s-eye cartography transforms the city into an abstract network of roads, rivers and architectural forms. Presented as a circular wall sculpture, its reflective silver surface responds to the chrome detailing and deep blue furnishings, while celebrating the office’s location at the centre of London.
Three large-scale original works by Anton Byrne-Carter introduce a more painterly and atmospheric presence across the boardrooms and corridors. Richly textured yet contemplative, the works bring depth and movement to the formal client-facing spaces.
Within the staff areas, the collection becomes more expressive. Georgia Merton’s Prussian blue cyanotypes draw upon alpine landscapes and the client’s own company trips, translating shared memories into atmospheric studies of scale, light and place. These are complemented by Davide De Martis’s mountain photography, which brings a cinematic sense of adventure, ambition and pioneering spirit to the everyday working environment.
Three original paintings by Bethany Holmes complete the collection. Rooted in colour, sensory memory and lived experience, their layered, energetic surfaces create a bridge between the collection’s atmospheric landscapes and its more instinctive, expressive character.
