ST PAULS, LONDON
Warwick Court (also known as 5 Paternoster Square) is a prominent 180,000 sq ft commercial and office building located next to St Paul’s Cathedral in the heart of the City of London.
Curatorial Approach
The collection for Warwick Court was conceived around the building’s prominent position beside St Paul’s, drawing on Paternoster Square’s historic and contemporary associations with commerce and finance. Giles Miller’s suspended Dual sculptures use intricate gold-toned ‘penny-junctions’ to form two jewel-like structures, shifting in density and transparency as viewers move through the entrance.
Within the main reception, Christophe Gaignon’s La Belle Oxyde continues this material narrative through a reflective sculptural surface opening onto a vortex of shimmering gold. Together, the works create subtle references to coins, exchange and value, while introducing warmth, movement and reflection to the architecture.
